I texted Big Schwag (Brent) this morning and ask him if going to Hog Fest.
He said if he has no other plans that weekend. He will be there.

Big Schwag is the host of the Pass Time drag show.

That fool needs to be there !
Last time he was there, the rain ended the night early.
We did not get to drink any adult beverages with him, and just hangout.
Although he did talk and hangout during the day thoughout the events.
When he was not busy announcing.

Oh no. blink.gif
BK you know me. biggrin.gif
I am all talk and no action. blink.gif
I have not been to the track with my bike in over a year. ohmy.gif
No need for me to drive 800+ miles, to get spanked by a couple of 250hp snomo powered quads that Ron has going to the event. huh.gif
That would be quite embarassing. ohmy.gif
I would be lucky to run 6.3's to 6.4's on my little 4mill, motor only. unsure.gif

On my list that I know who is going is two YFZ450 and many Banshee draggers from Wisconsin.

One YFZ450 on nitrous from Davenport,Iowa

So far I only know two snowo quads are coming.

One street bike quad.

Jimmy, I'm dissappointed with you to give up so easily. I think you are giving too much credit to 250hp snomo quads. When they start running times with smaller cc/100hp motors they might get my attention. There's much more to a drag race than being bluffed out before it even occurs.

I'll be there...with or without your attention Bryan tongue.gif

Somebody doesn't like snowmo's eh?
biggrin.gif

We all drank the kool-aid or we wouldn't be on this site.
Celebrate the ATV dragger's speeds and times...not how you get there.
Nitrous, turbo, 4-stroke, 2-stroke, stroker......who cares!

We all have nuggets we can learn from and share with each other.
Lots of banshees on this site are faster than my snowmo is, so not showing up because I am there is silly.
I am running low 6's like many others on this site in 660'.

Clutching is everything and I have a ways to go. 250HP at the crank is probably 150 at the rear wheels after going through the CVT. HP alone will not determine a race-it is who can put their HP to the ground, and make it work with their set up.

Lets race! (and promote the sport)

I must of struck some nerves, but didn't mean too. I thought I was pretty specific on who I addressed in my posts. Did I not address Jimmy and Ron? Jimmy brought up the subject and I addressed my thoughts about it. Now Ron's post, he knows what I ment. In the past numerous people promised to show, but never do.

As for not liking a certain motor or how they power it. "Somebody doesn't like snowmo's eh?" them was your words. I enjoy anything that's raced in a straight line or any form. My self proclaimed fame in drag racing has always been to do more with less. Not only with the quad, but the other race vehicles I pilot.

If you or anyone else don't like it; I don't give two hoots!

Bryan,
You are not the only one disappointed in me. I am disappointed in myself as well. For not going to the track and getting some runs in. With the lighter set-up.
Between work being slow for the last two years. And my kids getting older and getting more active in sports/school stuff. I hardly have time to do much other than eat, sleep and work. sad.gif

Borris,
As you well know from last year. This is mainly an exhibiton event.
I have made the trip twice before from Texas.
I was referring to the fact that. A couple of snomo powered quads should be enough to provide plenty of excitement for the crowd. Therefore there would be no point in me making the trip.

Hopefully you guys will be able to beat my fastest et from 2008 this year ? smile.gif
I heard from Ron, that someone with a snomo powered quad almost beat it last year. biggrin.gif

Something pretty drastic would have to happen for me NOT to make it again this year. Last year my motor was blown, glad I got that out of the way but I guess it wouldn't make much difference if it happened again since I now have two. Nothing like having a backup roll of toilet paper blink.gif

One is in the 7's and my snomo hasn't made a pass with the clutch engaging yet, but most likely will be in the 7's too, maybe 6's if the cops stop bothering me trying to tune it down my street, maybe 8's if I don't care about changing the rear sprocket for 1/4 mile setup. Personally I could give a darn how fast I go, just want a good Hog burger and meet some people.....ok and beat Ron so that burger is free tongue.gif

Anybody have an extra set of 22" rears Honda bolt pattern? Otherwise I maybe swapping rear wheels between the two quads.

What axle do you have??

I have 13x8.5 tires on 13x7 wheels. 68" rollout. 4/115 Banshee lug pattern.

No free food from ME..

I broke down Sunday and bought another set so I'm all good. The purple one is a Honda bolt pattern, the blue one is Honda/Yamaha so yours would of fit. I typically put the tires on the quad I want to take but having a second set I now can take both.
